Difference between Paneer and Tofu

Paneer (पनीर), also known as Cottage Cheese is widely popular in India and most of south east Asia including Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka. Tofu is prepared in a wide range of Japanese cooking. It is said to have come to Japan during the Nara period (710-794) through Buddhist priests who were representatives of China.
Tofu is often eaten cold during summer or it can garnished with scallions, ginger, nori, radish wasabi etc. Some popular dishes with tofu are Yudofu, Agedashidofu, Hiyayakko (chilled tofu), Ganmodoki (Tofu fritter), Goma tofu.
Indonesia-
Tofu is known as tahu in Indonesia. Indonesia is also one of the greatest soy processing for food as the primary dishes or snacks. It is widely popular due to its modest but flavorful taste. Tahu Goreng, tahu Gejrot, Tahu Campur, Tahu Gimbal, Kupat Tahu are common dishes made from tofu in Indonesia.
Other countries-
Tofu is also prepared in Vietnam, the Philippines, and Myanmar. In Vietnam, every street has this well-known dish called bun dau mam tom served with fresh rice and shrimp paste.
Tokwa is the Filipino term for tofu. Taho is a popular snack there which is made with silken tofu, sago, and brown sugar syrup.
●Flavor and Taste
